About Us
Who We Are
Noah Mapalo Help Centre is a non-profit organization that was established
out of compassion for the vulnerable communities in society on 17th
November, 2014. “Noah”- derived from Noah’s Ark, symbolizes a safe haven
for the people while “Mapalo”- a local dialect name implying blessings.
The registration of Noah Mapalo Help Centre (NMHC) as a legal entity
commenced in Portsmouth in the United Kingdom, UK, a country to which its
proprietor had travelled in order to foster the children of a late family
member. Soon after, the organization was then registered under the Societies
Act 119 of the laws of Zambia (Reg No. ORS/102/26/1136). Subsequently,
NMHC was then registered under the companies Act 1115: England and
Wales (Reg No. 11806540). With support from both the UK and Zambian
partners and volunteers, NMHC has since positively impacted over 800
individual households since its inception.
